Cartesean Diver

  1. Get a clear, plastic soda bottle with a top that seals well.
  2. Fill the bottle with water to within an inch of the top.
  3. Partially fill an eyedropper with water so it just floats inside the bottle.
  4. Put the top on. Squeeze the side of the bottle and the eyedropper will go down. Release the pressure and the eyedropper should go up.
  5. If the diver does not go down or up you will need to adjust the amount of water inside the eyedropper.
Try all experiments before showing them to someone else.
